We breathe together, Hear together, Live together, Are at one with each other And most of all we need each other.
Here is a poem I have written to connect our energy with that of Mother Earth's. Raising our awareness to the wonder we often take for granted, counting our blessings, becoming aware of each breath we take and being thankful allows us to resonate to the core of the Earth's being. Sending love and gratitude simultaneaously heals ourselves and Mother Earth.
As you read this poem imagine the colours, hues and nuances, hear the birdsong, feel the thunder, and smell the flowers....be fully present...allow the words to paint a picture in your mind....breathe deeply....let go....let love flow.
Ode to Mother Earth
Thank you for the flowers and the trees And the air that we breathe The birds and the bees And the pollen that we sneeze The salt of the sea And the swell of the waves The ocean breeze The song of the whales
The rustle of the leaves And the soil beneath our toes For the plants that we sow And the vegetables we grow
For the animals that graze In the fields and on the hills For the beauty of the landscape With the myriad of sights That restores and revives us From our daily trials and plights
For the glory of a sunset Before dark stillness of the night And the renewal of the dawn With the first ray of light
For the rainbow in the sun shower With its glistening crystal beams Bringing energizing ions To spark new life and dreams
For the fresh and misty morn And the dewdrops on the grass For spider webs that shimmer Draped like angels lace on glass
For mountains we can climb To test our verve and strength For places to feel sublime We retreat to for a rest For the shelter of the caves And the waterfalls that surge For all the sacred spaces Like the forests and the streams Where we join in harmony With your loving gentle being
For the sweetness of birdsong that pleasures our ears For the croak of the frogs and buzzing insect sounds That warns of lightening and thunder rumbling And buckets of raindrops tumbling down to the ground For sweetness and freshness of life giving nectar To cool and quench and splash on our bodies to drench
For the icy kiss of winter With the fresh fall of snow And the warmth of the fire we can sit by and sew For the kinship and friendship that nurtures our souls And for the all spirits that combine to make us whole
For the glow of the moon And the stars shining at night Expanding our wonder and flooding our dreams With endless eternal heavenly light
For the sunshine that floods us Creating food for our beings For the forces that surround us, seen and unseen For the flowers perfume that lift our gloom For the chance to wake yet another day To share our cares and joyfully play In this blissful place We call Planet Earth Now ask yourself What is that worth?
